“Angels of Italian Wine” has been launched in Mumbai, India, and will be soon launched in other cities, like Pune, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Bangalore.
The venture seeks to promote Italian wine and wine culture in India. It is being spearheaded by the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in India. This new international wine program has been christened “Alfiere Italico.”
Elaborate plans have been drawn up to boost activities, which include an award of diplomas to experts, and visits to Italian wine producers.
While several countries have been active in promoting the wines of the countries in India, this is perhaps the first time that such an organized high-voltage effort is being made by a country known for its wines and wine culture all over the world.
